Maremare Swimwear as a brand was the brainchild of Nice Kim, who was a model and actress born in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Living in the famous city of Rio de Janeiro worked for movies, Globo TV soup operas, international fashion events and was top model for Playboy magazine in 1983 cover among others.

Traveling around the world she found inspirations to design her own fashion creation.
